Hi Caregivers!

We have some incredibly exciting "Good News" to share with you all this week.

Delaware's 6th Annual Do-Good-A-Thon community service campaign is officially underway! Running through July 17, 2026, this statewide initiative is all about bringing people together to spread joy and strengthen our communities.

The goals of this beautiful initiative are simple:

1. Increase the feeling of connection between strangers.

2. Increase the number of people doing simple acts of service.

3. Promote local non-profit partners, volunteer opportunities, and events.

   
   

Introducing: "The Do-Goodie Two Shoes"! 👟

During last week’s Memory Café, our group decided to register our very own team! By participating, our team will be entered into a drawing to win the prestigious Lucky Do-Gooder Award.

There is absolutely no pressure to do anything extra, but if you would like to support the cause and register as an individual under our team banner, we would love to have you!

How You Can Participate: A Simple Guide

Joining the movement is incredibly easy, and you can participate entirely at your own pace:

1. Sign Up

Use our official team name

Register as an individual through the official Do-Good-A-Thon Form [HERE]. Make sure to list your team name exactly as: "The Do-Goodie Two Shoes".

2. Do Good

No deed is too small!

Perform simple, stress-free acts of service over the campaign period. This could be as simple as giving a warm smile to a stranger, holding a door, helping a neighbor, or writing a kind note.

Optional: If you are on social media, post your good deeds with the hashtag #DoGood2026 to be entered into the Do-Good Influencer award drawing!

3. Share Your Stories

Celebrate kindness together

We will be sharing and celebrating our acts of service during the "Good News" segment of Memory Café each week.

If you don’t attend Memory Café in person, please email your stories to us! We will compile and share all of your sweet moments in our weekly email newsletter.

4. Attend the Grand Finale: The Party 6

Saturday, July 25, 2026 (1:00 PM – 5:00 PM)

The campaign wraps up with Delaware's largest service party at The Delaware Contemporary in Wilmington. The event is free and open to all, featuring live entertainment, delicious food, and over 20 community partner groups hosting fun, on-the-spot service activities!
